The Red Hot Django Peppers are a fiery Hot Club band devoted to the music and spirit of legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt. Led by guitarist Ryan Picone, the group brings together guitarist Ian Stenlund, violinist Daniel Lentz, and bassist Sean Roderick for a sound that is both rooted in tradition and full of new energy.

Drawing from the French swing and jazz manouche tradition, the band combines dazzling guitar work, soaring violin, driving rhythm, and irresistible swing. Picone is an accomplished jazz guitarist and a devoted student of the style, having studied with renowned jazz manouche guitarist Stéphane Wrembel. His work with the Red Hot Django Peppers is part of a larger effort to build and grow the Twin Cities’ Django and Hot Club community.

Since their premiere in 2019, the band has become a familiar part of the Twin Cities jazz scene, performing at venues and festivals throughout the region. In 2024, they became one of the first Hot Club jazz bands to perform at Blue Ox Music Festival, and in 2025 released their debut studio album after years of developing their sound together.
